Occasionally, CFMA members are invited to give seminars and short-term trainings to different Police and Army units,. Naturally, their personnel are highly trained with firearms which under certain circumstances are not the first, or the best, to be used. Understanding the way of cold weapons is essential, can prevent undesired escalations and may, eventually, save lives.
Here we share few samples we were authorized to publish.
During October 2007 CFMA members were invited to give a seminar that focuses on fighting against 'knife attacks'. The aim of this seminar was to allow the police officers of the 'HOREV' unit, to gain basic skills that will enable them to cope with the knife threats they encounter in their daily field work either undercover or usual assignments.
The 'HOREV' unit was established during 2002 as a special assault and overtake unit specialized in the public transportation scene, at the time Israel had suffered many suicide bomber attacks on civilian public transportation. |
